New AESH Workshops ! Part 4 soon !

SPRINT is offering an AESH / Learning assistant online training. This training is aimed at current and future learning assistants, but parts may be interesting for others.

Part 4 will take place on Thursday, January the 30th at 7.30pm (CET), on Zoom.
This is part 4 of 4 live, online workshops. Each section can also be stand-alone, so don't panic if you missed earlier parts.

Part 4 will cover "Teaching Strategies and Monitoring Behaviour for an/ AVS / AESH".

Join SPRINT members Grace Lindley (Speech Language Pathologist) and Ruta Gouriou (Learning Specialist & Sensory Integration Practitioner) to learn practical things you can put into place with your students in the classroom. We’ll talk about different styles of teaching, different tools you can use to help your students, how to work on goals set by therapists and how to monitor the progress of your students.

Thursday, January the 16th, 2025, at 7.30pm (CET).
SPRINT members, Occupational Therapist Kara Tavolacci and Speech-Language Therapist Grace Lindley talked about the very important topic of challenging behaviours in the students that you work with. They talked about different reasons behind challenging behaviours and how to address them. There was an opportunity to problem solve specific cases at the end of the session.

April 30th, 2024, at 7.30pm (CET).
It is an introductory session for those interested in becoming a learning support assistant / AVS / AESH. We talked about goals, expectations, language and contracts.
